Happy Birthday Beautiful Alina

Alina has had many celebrations this week.

We started the week with a family day in Berkeley at the Habitot Museum and lunch at Fenton's Creamery only to finish at Farmer John's in Half Moon Bay!

The next day was Alina's Birthday Celebration at school and homemade chicken and pasta soup with a mini butterfly cake.

Halloween was the BIG celebration, a bouncy house and party after school followed by

The Lady with the Alligator Purse

Last night at story time, Cian decided he wanted The Lady with the Alligator Purse book.  Alina sat down next to us and started to "read" each page!  It was the sweetest thing to witness!  I remember the first time Aidan "read" to her and now she is "reading" to Cian!

I love that they are so close!

Considerate Big Sister

Cian was having a difficult time settling down for nap today so Alina, very quietly, opened his door and offered her monkey to help comfort him.  He pulled monkey close and gave kisses and is snuggled in for his nap.

Thank you Alina for being so considerate of your brother.  He LOVES you so much!

1st day of school - 2nd year Centennial Montessori School

Alina's very excited to return to school this year.  She's one of the big kids this year and will learn more about becoming a leader.

Last day of summer...    gymnastics Tuesday then a quick nap now playing with the boys!

Flower Girl for Gina (and Nicholas)

Alina was one of the flower girls for Gina and Nicholas last weekend.  She was very tired (since our sitters were her best friend's parents) but managed to hold it together for the wedding and most of the pictures.

Although she walked the aisle barefoot, she was gorgeous in her stunning white dress!

Hullabaloo!

Alina had a play date this afternoon with Mika and Cora...  so much FUN watching them play in the backyard!  Bubbles, spiders, jumping, spinning, fishing, snacks, and OMG girl talk!

Round 2 of Camp CuriOdyssey

Alina came home with her homemade "SLIME" today...  fun to play with; not so fun to clean!

Little Miss Giggle Box

Alina has been super happy today! Giggles at every corner and excitement overflowing!

Princess Camp at The Reading Bug

Alina joined the Princess Camp midweek at The Reading Bug in San Carlos.  They sang songs and colored pictures and read books on all the princesses in the Fairytales.  She enjoyed her snacks in the park down the street and played in the play house afterwards.

Beautiful show to end the week; phone battery died... no pics, boo.

Perfect book store for kids!  Only wish it was closer to home!

After a week of camp at Millbrae Dance academy, Alina gave a lovely performance this am.

Passing the Millbrae Bart station today Alina asked if we could get Nicholas...   so glad to have so many visits!

Today was a fun day!  We started off at soccer w/cousin Nicholas and then off to Happy Hollow with Mika and Aisla.  We rode all the rides and saw all the animals this time.  So much FUN!  Oh and we had a Teddy Bear Picnic!!

Last day of The Music School camp

Alina has enjoyed herself at The Music School this week. She's made a frog, a snake, a butterfly, chicks in a basket, and a penguin.  She played keyboards and piano, learned about musical notes and sang songs; her favorite being Slippery Fish! 

Snuggle Time

I woke up this morning at 6:09 to Alina snuggling in to me.  She started singing "this land is my land" (Alina style) and rubbing my cheek...  may she always be so special.  A beautiful memory I didn't want to forget.

My new favorite book, thanks Mommy's friend Jen from Philadelphia!

Jen Bush recently came to visit (for my 40th birthday celebration) and brought the kids each a book.  Alina's book is "Every Cowgirl Needs a Horse" and she loves it!  She requests it every afternoon at nap time and every night before bed!

Mommy's wedding dress

I recently had Alina photographed in my wedding dress (for her 3rd birthday).  She now asks me frequently if she can come to Mommy's and Daddy's wedding and if she can wear my wedding dress when she gets married!  (sniff, sniff)

You are loving your new dance class on Friday pms with Bryn!

And you are the BEST Big Sister ever!  You love to play ball with Cian (and all of us) and give hugs and kisses all the time!  You are a constant companion for both your brothers and brighten all of our days.

Today you told me I was your BEST friend and you loved me and Daddy and Aidan and Cian SO MUCH!  We LOVE YOU TOO!
